The thyssenkrupp Quarter is the corporate headquarters of thyssenkrupp AG in Essen. The office campus is an ensemble of various individual buildings arranged on a site around a water square with connecting paths, small squares and trees. In their arrangement, the buildings and open spaces form a balanced whole of nature and architecture and allow various spaces for retreat and communication. The main focus and centerpiece of the complex is the company headquarters called Q1, with a height of 50 meters. The quarter was designed by a joint venture of the Cologne-based architectural firm JSWD and the Paris-based architects Chaix & Morel et Associés.
