Glass Box

The glass box was built from 1962 to 1963 as an administrative building for Fried. Krupp Maschinen- und Stahlbau Rheinhausen GmbH. With its large glass surfaces and open-plan offices over each complete floor, the building was considered one of the most modern office buildings in Germany in the 1960s. The building has been empty since 1996 and has since been completely destroyed by vandalism. According to current plans, the building is to be demolished.
